Master Lenny Young

Master Lenny Young is a 6th Degree Black Belt. He began his training in the mid 1970's. Ninth Degree Black Belt, Grand Master Yon Ho Kang, promoted Master Young to Master Instructor in 1990. Master Young himself has promoted over 100 of his students to Black Belt with many beyond 1st degree and three to Master Instructor.

Master Young has competed in sparring, forms, breaking, and weapons in tournaments on the east and west coasts, winning many First Place and even Grand Champion trophies. He has hosted two local tournaments (Fall & Spring) a year since 1984.


Master Young was awarded "Best Student of the Year (1980)" by Master Chong Lee. He was awarded "Outstanding Young Fitness Leader" by the Pennsylvania Jaycees and the P.E.P.P.A. (Public Education Partners and Promoters Award) by the Bellefonte Area School District.

In 1991 Grand Master Kang appointed him Regional Director of the International Chin Mu Kwan Tae Kwon Do Federation. Master Young has done countless demonstrations, seminars, and clinics for charities and civic groups. Since 1984 he has been an assistant Instructor for the C.T.F. regional summer camp. He has traveled the country for seminars in Tae Kwon Do as well as other martial arts.

Young's Tae Kwon Do currently offers a $100.00 Scholarship to any graduating Senior of Master Young's Alma Mater, Bellefonte High School, who best shows and lives the tenets of Tae Kwon Do.
